How to choose a pelvic floor training app

Compare language, squeeze and relax cues, privacy, free access and Apple Watch support before choosing a pelvic floor training app.

A pelvic floor training app should make the next step understandable. Before downloading a kegel app, compare its guidance, language and data handling—not just the number of routines. This guide is written by K-Core’s developer, so it explains the product’s limits as well as its features.

Can you understand the cues while exercising?

Look for distinct squeeze and relax prompts, visible timing and enough explanation to understand the controls before you start. Audio and wrist taps may help you follow a timer, but they do not measure muscle activity or confirm technique. If you are unsure about technique or suitability, ask a qualified healthcare professional. NIDDK explains when professional guidance can help.

Check language beyond the store description

A translated listing is different from translated workout cues. K-Core supports English and Thai in its app experience. App language follows Apple’s system settings; its Language shortcut takes you to those settings. Apple Watch follows its own target localization, so do not assume that changing iPhone language changes every screen on the watch.

Ask where your workout history goes

Check whether an app requires an account, stores history with its developer, or makes health access compulsory. K-Core requires no K-Core account. Workout history and post-workout check-ins are stored on the device, without CloudKit history sync. A paired watch can exchange app state with the phone. Apple Health is optional, and Apple-managed backups depend on your device settings. The privacy policy explains these distinctions.

Understand the free boundary before paying

K-Core is free to download, with Phases 1–3 available without expiry. Plus provides purchase access to Phases 4–6 and My Routine within built-in limits. Progression and recovery conditions still apply; payment does not establish readiness. Monthly, yearly and lifetime options are displayed by Apple before purchase.

Decide whether you need Apple Watch

You can use K-Core on iPhone without a watch. If wrist guidance matters, check paired-device installation, cue settings and sync expectations in our Apple Watch guide. To see the actual first-use flow, read Getting started.

A simple checklist

  • Can I read and hear the cues in my preferred language?
  • Is relaxation shown clearly, alongside contraction?
  • Are optional permissions and data storage explained?
  • Is the free versus paid boundary explicit?
  • Can I stop a session and find help easily?

Choose based on the routine you can understand and the privacy choices you want. More intensity or more repetitions are not a reason to choose an app.
